Hi, friend! Welcome to our small raw milk community here at Little Stewards Farm!
Please read through these reminders and guidelines to keep our milk pick-ups running smoothly and for tips on taking care of your milk.
Under Georgia law, we sell raw milk for pet consumption under the pet feed license. Raw milk has not been pasteurized and may contain harmful bacteria.
With that out of the way, let’s get started with a few pointers so you can enjoy your raw milk to the fullest!
If you are new to raw milk, please allow your body time to get used to it by starting with only a glass a day. Please do your own research to judge whether raw milk is a good option for you and your family before you buy from us.
The milk should last at least 10-21 days from the fill date.
Transport your milk in a cooler that will keep your jars upright. This will help with keeping the milk cool, fresh, and last longer! Pro tip: the cream that rises forms a natural seal that helps keep your milk fresh. The less it’s disturbed/shaken before you open the jar, the better the seal.
Milk must stay refrigerated, ideally between 36-38°F. Apply the ice cream rule: only leave your milk out as long as you would your ice cream.

Jars MUST be cleaned, dried, and returned during next pick up. If we don't receive your jars on your next pick-up day, you will be charged another jar/lid deposit ($6), which will then be refunded the next time you bring your jars back.
On farm pick-ups are Monday-Friday between 10-12pm and 3-5pm and Saturday between 9am-12pm. Once you join the weekly pick-ups, we will discuss which day and time works best for you so I can reserve the milk for you each week.
If you're unable to make the pick-up date and time, please let me know 48 hours in advance so I can make arrangements.
As a reminder, milk is $7/half gallon. The $6 jar/lid deposit applies to your subsequent orders as long as you return clean empty jars/lids when you pick up.
Please be respectful of our home.
We would love to show you around and answer any questions you might have. However, please keep in mind that our farm is a working farm as well as our home.
We ask that you do not roam around for safety, biosecurity and liability reasons. Kids should always be supervised and pets are not allowed.
Milk is a seasonal product.
When the grass is green and growing, there’s an abundance of milk. During the winter, there will naturally be less.
When we have cows calving, they will be on maternity leave for 90 days before they get back on rotation. This gives them time to rest their udder and prepare for the arrival of their new baby. We do our best to accommodate everyone, but our cows’ health and their calves’ needs are our priority over milk availability.
Lastly, thanks for being here!
This is a rolling list of tips that I’ll continue to update as we offer our raw milk. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me. Thank you for being here and thank you for joining our farm! 😊
